Taken over charge as Director (E&M) on 19.03.2008. Earlier to this, held various positions in SCCL from Assistant Engineer to Chief General Manager (E&M), Underground Mines.

Has varied experience in Workshops, Manufacturing, Conventional & Mechanised Underground Mines including Blasting Gallery and Longwall Technology. Trained in Longwall Technology in United Kingdom under Colombo Plan. Participated as a member in SCCL delegation to Russia for preparation of Longwall project reports for SCCL and visited International Mining Machinery Exhibition (BOUMA) at Germany.

Is responsible for all E&M activities like Procurement, Erection and Maintenance of Equipment to achieve targeted production.
