Central WorkShop

Central Workshop was started at Kothagudem in the Year 1977. It produces Tub Wheel Axle assemblies,Tooth points for Shovels, Conveyor drum assemblies, Shafts and Pins, Coal Mill Pulverizing Heads, Chocks, Rock ejectors, Mine ventilator fans, Spares for Power house applications etc.

The total manpower including executives is 298. The total production in the year 2003-04 is 963.023 MTN and the value is about Rs. 8.48 Crores.
The First ISO 9001 - 2000 certified Department in the Company

Central Workshop was accredited in December 2003 with ISO-9001: 2000 by M/S DET NORSKE VERITAS, HYDERABAD for Quality Management and System Standardization. Approval Certificate No. is 00173 - 2003 - AQ - HYD - UKAS

1 Steel Foundry Steel Casting of Tub wheels, Shovel tooth points , Dozer cutting edges etc.
2 Machine Shop & Machine Building shop Manufacture of tub whhel axle assy., mine ventilation fans , cunveyor drums , various pins and shafts connected with the maintenance jobs of OC Projects
3 Maintenance section This section is responsible for maintenance of all machinery in central workshop
4 Chemical Laboratory Sand testing , metal samples testing , online molten metal analysis and hardness testing are performed.
5 Quality control Inspection and correction of castings for their soundness and fitment.
