            Company has achieved 44.4 million tonnes (m.t.) of coal production in 2008-2009 and poised for achieving 50.4 m.t. by 2009-10.  The Company proposed to open 25 new projects by the end of XII plan period, adapting new technologies such as Continuous Miner, Long Wall in deep Underground mines and through High Wall Mining in Opencast Projects.

In addition:

v     Dearness Allowance 18.5% (July to September 2009) on basic pay per month  being revised quarterly

v     Perks & Allowances payable subject to a maximum ceiling of 43.5% of basic pay per month on cafeteria approach.

v     Underground Allowance

v     Non practicing allowance @ 17.5% of Basic pay per month to the Medical discipline executives.

v     Coal field Allowance @7% of Basic pay per month, Charge Allowance 3% of Basic pay per month, Exploration camp allowance 3% of Basic pay per month and Rescue Station Allowance @7% of basic pay per month limiting to 10% of Basic pay per month.

v     Coal Mines Provident fund @ 12% (Basic + DA).

v     Contributory coal Mines Pension facility

v     Gratuity ceiling at Rs.10 lakhs.

v     Annual Increment @3% of the basic pay

v     House Rent Allowance 30% / 20% / 10% of the basic pay per month in classified cities

v     LTC (Home Town) and LTC (to a place outside India/Any where in India)
