In addition to Annual Plan and revenue works, special drive is taken up since 1997-98 by SCCL to develop the living conditions in SCCL townships developed about 30-40 years backs by giving facelift at large in maintaining cordial atmosphere with workers. The funds are allocated for development of Roads, drains, sanitary lines, Sulabh Toilets, Compound Walls, Improvement to water supply system, Construction of bath rooms and WC rooms to the SRT Quarters etc.,

Swimming Pools were constructed for the benefit of employees and their children at Bellampalli Ramagundam, Manuguru and Kothagudem

Parks and Play grounds were provided for recreation of workers in all the areas. Of late parks are looked after by P&TM Department

Buildings for post offices, banks, Markets, Police Stations etc., are constructed.

Plots are developed with Roads etc., for allotment to workers for constructing their own houses. So far 1614 Plots are allotted
