INPIT CRUSHER CONVEYOR TECHNOLOGY

INPIT CRUSHER CONVEYOR | EMERGING SCENARIO

Inpit crusher-conveyor technology in Opencast mines envisage crushing of over-burden and/or coal to uniform size within the quarry, and transporting it with the help of conveyors. This technology drastically reduces the cost of transport of coal and overburden material and thereby, makes Opencast mines with relatively higher stripping ratios, economically viable too. The advantage of this aspect is more pronounced in Opencast proposals of steeper seams.

In Ramagundam OC-II this method of working has been implemented where coal deposit is not easily amenable for conventional shovel-dumper and dragline applications ,since it is steep with a gradient around 1 in 4 , and also the strike of the deposit is curved.

This deposit has been identified by SCCL for application of inpit crusher-conveyor technology and the feasibility report for the same was prepared and with the approval of the Government of India ,SCCL implemented the project under A to Z concept with the technical collaboration of experts from Federal Repbulic of Germany.
