Environmental public hearing;

Before implementation of any new project or expansion of existing projects, Environmental Public Hearing is conducted. Salient features are:

Ø      Giving notice of one month and ensuring public participation.

Ø      Proceedings are conducted by the Regional Officer of the State Pollution Control Board concerned.

Ø      The District Collector concerned presides over the proceedings.

Ø      The panel consists of three senior citizens of the area, three local body members and four Government Officers.
